Chris Whitten
Chris Whitten is first-generation American born to an English father and a Brazilian mother. He grew up all over the United States, moving to Memphis when he was in middle school. His love for his adopted city and its inhabitants has only grown over his 25 years here.
Chris received his undergraduate degree in philosophy from Vanderbilt University in Nashville. He then ventured north and received his Juris Doctor from Northeastern University School of Law in Boston. Chris attended Northeastern for its values of social justice and equity, spending time working in multiple clinics to help those in need.
After graduating, Chris returned home to pursue his legal career. Throughout his 13-year career as an attorney, Chris has gained an array of skills which make him an effective advocate for others. He spent time working as a litigation preparation attorney for high-profile companies, as a prosecutor, and as a public defender. This experience has given him the tools to best represent his clients and deliver effective legal counsel. Chris can provide advice in both English and Portuguese.
